Of everything on this page, caffeine timing was the one that surprised me most, because it costs nothing and I resisted it for years. I was a straight-out-of-bed coffee drinker for most of my adult life. When I finally pushed my first cup to roughly two hours after my 06:00 wake time and held it there for a month, the change that showed up in my Oura data wasn’t in the mornings — it was in my afternoons and my sleep-onset latency. The 3pm collapse I’d assumed was just my constitution softened noticeably, and it tracked with falling asleep faster at night.
